How your data is handled

• Account details — your name, email address and the roles you hold. A password is stored only as a one-way hash and cannot be read back by anyone, including administrators.
• Candidate record — the identifiers, category and any accessibility provisions your institution registered for you. Provisions are stored so the software can apply them automatically rather than asking you to request them on the day.
• Examination activity — every answer you save, when you saved it, the IP address it came from, and the paper that was generated for your attempt. This is what makes a result defensible if it is later disputed.
• Results — your score, per-question verdicts, and any recomputation applied after an upheld objection.
• Learning activity — courses you enrol in, lessons completed, quiz attempts, reviews and questions you post, and certificates issued to you.
• Payments — order and payment records where you buy a course. Card details are never sent to or stored by this platform; they go directly to the payment gateway.

An examination result is a record that can affect someone's education or career, and it may be challenged. The per-answer log, the timestamps and the frozen copy of the paper you were shown exist so that a challenge can be investigated with evidence rather than adjudicated on memory.

That is also why an attempt is never edited after submission: a correction is applied as a recomputation with the reason recorded, and the original stands alongside it.

Access is by role. Staff at your institution see what their role permits — an invigilator sees a live attempt's status but not its answers; an evaluator sees answers but not who wrote them where the examination is marked anonymously.

Data is separated by organisation. Where this installation serves more than one institution, one institution's staff cannot reach another's candidates, orders, attempts or results. The single exception is the public course catalogue, which is intentionally cross-institution — and it exposes only course listings, never anyone's activity.

A session cookie is set when you sign in; it is what keeps you signed in and is required for the platform to work. Your theme preference is stored in your browser and never sent to the server.

There is no advertising, no analytics service and no third-party tracker on any page of this platform.

Contact the institution that issued your Examination Platform credentials. They hold your candidate record and administer the examinations, so requests about your data go to them.
